Chelsea youth team player Islam Feruz tonight (Wednesday) became Scotland's youngest Under 21 international.

The 16-year-old, who is still a schoolboy but has been the ever-present centre-forward in the run to the FA Youth Cup Final, came on in the 61st minute of a friendly against Italy in Edinburgh.

The score was 2-1 to the Italians at that stage with the visitors adding another two goals before the end. Feruz had a good effort saved.

The player joined Chelsea early this season and has scored 12 goals in 20 appearances for our youth team, plus two in four games for the reserves. He made his first competitive appearance for Scotland Under 17s only last month.

The Chelsea youth team take a 4-0 lead into the second leg of the Youth Cup Final at Ewood Park on Wednesday 9 May.

Tickets will be available to purchase on the night at Blackburn. Ticket prices are £5 adults and £3 concessions.

The game will also be shown live on Chelsea TV.
