Chelsea's youth team beat the Malaysia Under 19 national team 4-2 on Tuesday night in the second and final match of their pre-season tour of Asia.

Striker Walter Figueira scored his second of the night to put Chelsea 4-0 up midway through the second half, before the Malaysian side pulled two back at Wisma FAM.

Chelsea youth coach Adi Viveash was pleased with his team's performance and the win, which followed last Saturday's 1-0 loss to the Leo All Stars select side in Bangkok, where his players also helped launch our latest Blue Pitch the previous day.

Ali Gordon put the blues in front after five minutes when he arrived at the far post to convert a right-wing cross from playmaker Jesse Starkey, after a short corner.

Chelsea dominated possession and doubled the lead after half an hour when Figueira latched onto Jordan Houghton's through ball and battled with the defence before squeezing his shot into the top-right corner.

Two minutes later, Tom Howard had a shot tipped past the post and from the resulting corner, Houghton smashed a volley onto the crossbar from close range.

Chelsea started off the second half in sparkling fashion as left-back Kevin Wright dribbled into the area and squared for midfielder George Cole to put the Blues three ahead with a first-time shot.

Figueira then had a close-range chip saved by goalkeeper Izzat Rahim before making amends with a piledriver from inside the box to make it 4-0.

Malaysia pulled one back through Norhamizaref Hamid when he pounced on a careless giveaway in the Chelsea defence to slot home.

With the clock ticking down, Chelsea centre-back Dion Conroy spectacularly cleared off an effort off the line but his clearance ended at the feet of Mohd Hafizal bin Mohamad, who drilled home from the edge of the box to complete the scoring.

The 19-strong Chelsea squad will enjoy some sightseeing in Kuala Lumpur on Wednesday before departing for London in the evening.
