ACADEMY THREE IN YOUNG ENGLAND WIN
Chelsea schoolboy Dominic Solanke continued a run of goalscoring form on Thursday when he was on target for England Under-17s.
The striker, who is the Chelsea youth team's top scorer this season with seven goals in six appearances, scored England's third in a 4-0 win over hosts Armenia and then set up the fourth. The match was the two sides' opener in a four-team qualification tournament for the next European Under-17 Championships.
Solanke was one of three Chelsea players involved, coming on as 58th-minute substitute for club colleague Isaiah Brown. Isaac Christie-Davies, another schoolboy, came on 10 minutes later, his first appearance at this level. Brown had a hand the second goal.
England Under-17s play Gibraltar on Saturday and Republic of Ireland on Tuesday, all in Armenia.
