A life-long Blue, by the age of six Danielle was already playing for her local team Castle Colts, from there she went onto the Arsenal soccer team and quickly earned her first trial at 11. After impressing the north London outfit, Danielle stayed with the Gunners until the age of 18, when Chelsea beckoned.

What superpower would you have and why?
To be able to fly, it would make travelling around a lot cheaper!
What piece of advice would you have for aspiring female footballers?
To always work hard and make sure you enjoy playing.
When did you start playing football and why?
When I was five, my dad would play on the weekends, so me and my brother would have a kick about.
When did you realise you could play at this level?
Probably when I got my first England senior call up.
What are your strengths on the pitch?
Passing ability, work rate, reading the game.
What are your strengths off the pitch?
Friendly, honest and easy to talk to.
What are your hobbies outside of football?
Spending time with my family and friends.
What's your most memorable moment playing for Chelsea Ladies?
Playing against Arsenal in the first ever WSL league game. The occasion was amazing, we had thousands of people watching and it was a great experience for everyone involved.
Have you won any silverware in your career and if so, what and when?
When I was at Arsenal, we won the quadruple (European Cup, League, FA Cup and League cup). Runners-up medal for England U19 in the European Championships in 2007 and runner-up for England in the European Championships 2009.
A hard-working midfielder, with a strong tackle and an accurate pass, Danielle has represented England at Under 15, Under 17, Under 19 and Under 23 level and is now a regular in the senior side.
And she has plenty of silverware to her name. While at Arsenal, Danielle won the League, League Cup, FA Cup and European Cup. Danni was also European Cup runners-up with England Under 19s and also the senior side, both times England lost to Germany.
