Daniel Pappoe

Chelsea
Born on 30 December 1993 in Accra, Ghana, Daniel featured six times for the reserves during 2009/10 when still a schoolboy. He was an important member of the 2010 FA Youth Cup-winning squad though he missed the Youth Cup Final through injury.

Hailing from Deptford, he joined Chelsea at Under 12 and is a solid centre-half.

Daniel captained the FA Youth Cup side during 2010/11, but missed the end of the campaign through injury.  He is yet to return to full fitness.

He also played nine times for the reserves last season, but was sent off against Blackpool midway through the season after lashing out at an opponent.

Bad luck with injuries ensured Daniel missed the first half of the 2011/12 campaign, and after returning early in 2012, he sustained yet another serious injury, this time in the FA Youth Cup fourth round tie at Norwich, which ruled him out for the remainder of the season.

After missing the early part of the 2012/13 campaign through injury, Pappoe came back into the side towards the end of the season and played in both the semi-finals and final of the NextGen Series in Italy.

In July 2013, it was announced he would be joining Colchester United on loan until 12 January but he returned at the end of October having made two appearances.
