CENTRE OF EXCELLENCE
The Chelsea Football Club's Girls' Centre of Excellence is designed to help elite female footballers reach their full potential.
Operating out of the heart of the club's training ground, the programme provides world-class facilities for any aspiring young female footballer as well as excellent coaching from a superb team of qualified staff. Our aim is to develop players from our U9 Development Squad through to the Chelsea Ladies first-team in the FA Women's Super League as well as providing appropriate, alternative exit routes for players when necessary. Following the recent submission of a successful application to the Football Association, the Centre of Excellence has been granted a license for both the 2012/13 and 2013/14 season.
Within the centre, training is focussed on long term player development (LTPD) as well as creating a competitive, winning culture from a young age. The club has an excellent record of producing players through the Centre of Excellence to Chelsea FC Ladies' reserve and first team as well as England youth and senior teams. In addition to this the club offers pathways into the Female Academy programmes, which allows players to combine their academic studies with playing competitive college and reserve-team football.
2013/14 TRIAL PROCESS
Read through the following information and complete the online application form to register for the 2013/14 season Girls' Centre of Excellence trials.

Please note that trials will take place on the following dates:
Saturday 8th June 2013 - Open Trials (U9, U11 and U13)
These trials are for any girl who is interested in attending our Girls' Centre of Excellence who is playing grassroots, school or PDC football and is NOT currently attending a FA Girls' Centre of Excellence. Please be aware that the age groups for Girls' Centre of Excellence football work on a calendar year of January - December and NOT on the academic year of September - August. Therefore, you must be born in the years stated below to be eligible for the relevant age group.
10am - 11.45am: U9 (Born in 2005 or 2006) and U11 (Born in 2003 or 2004)
2pm - 3.45pm: U13 (Born in 2001 or 2002)
Sunday 9th June 2013 - Open Trials (U15 and U17)
These trials are for any girl who is interested in attending our Girls' Centre of Excellence who is playing grassroots, school or PDC football and is NOT currently attending a FA Girls' Centre of Excellence. Please be aware that the age groups for Girls' Centre of Excellence football work on a calendar year of January - December and NOT on the academic year of September - August. Therefore, you must be born in the years stated below to be eligible for the relevant age group.

2pm - 3.45pm: U17 (Born in 1997 or 1998)
Saturday 15th June 2013 - Invite Only Trials (U9, U11 and U13)
These trials will only be for players who have played in a Girls' Centre of Excellence during the 2012/13 season or players that have been selected from the Open Trial process.
10am - 11.45am: U9 (Born in 2005 or 2006) and U11 (Born in 2003 or 2004)
2pm - 3.45pm: U13 (Born in 2001 or 2002)
Sunday 16th June 2013 - Invite Only Trials (U15 and U17)
These trials will only be for players who have played in a Girls' Centre of Excellence during the 2012/13 season or players that have been selected from the Open Trial process.
10am - 11.45am: U15 (Born in 1999 or 2000)
2pm - 3.45pm: U17 (Born in 1997 or 1998)
There will also be a final trial stage on Saturday 22nd June (U9 & U11) and Sunday 23rd June (U15 & U17), which players will only be asked to attend following successful trials at the Invite Only stage.
All trials will take place at the Chelsea FC Training Ground, Stoke Road, Stoke D'Abernon, Surrey, KT11 3PT and will take place on an artificial grass surface. Please bring appropriate footwear and clothing (including shinpads) as well as adequate water to stay hydrated. You should aim to arrive at the training ground 30 minutes before the start time given above for each trial.
Please note that any offer made at the trials is subject to gaining our Centre gaining a FA Licence for the 2013/14 season.
FA Statement:
The FA Girls' Centre of Excellence trial period runs throughout the month of June and therefore you are welcome to attend trials at any Centre during this time. You do not have to officially accept your position with us until the 30th June 2013. Should you wish to accept earlier than the 30th June, you are welcome to do so.
If you are already registered with a Centre of Excellence, we would also ask that you are honest and make them aware that you are trialling at another Centre.
