As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?
I really wanted to be a firewomen, I don't know why exactly but I remember my mum taking me to a station and I got to put on the hat and spray the hose which seemed so cool!

Ability to go into the past and future, savour the good moments and see what choices I make and how they affect my future.
What piece of advice would you have for aspiring female footballers?
Enjoy it, prove doubters wrong, aspire to be the best and always play with a smile.
When did you start playing football and why?
When I was seven, my dad used to take me along on Sundays, so I used to get left with all the boys playing, also my dad's best mate had two boys and I used to kick a ball about with them when my family was round theirs.
When did you realise you could play at this level?
I've always been quite lucky and have played internationally since I was 15 and told I should be playing at the highest level.
What are your strengths on the pitch?
Communication, some experience and people say my distribution.
What are your strengths off the pitch?
Easy to talk to, enjoying jokes, being a Geordie and always smiling (unless we lose!).
What are your hobbies outside of football?
Going out, cinema and shopping...
What's your most memorable moment playing for Chelsea Ladies?
Probably the first game we played last year against Arsenal live on ESPN and first WSL game to be played, just lost but should of drawn at least.
Have you won any silverware in your career and if so, what and when?
I was lucky enough to win the League Cup with Leeds in 2010, it was an amazing experience and against all the odds. I was also a runner-up in 2009 to Arsenal in the FA Cup, picked up women of the match and played in front of 25,000 people - again, very memorable and something I want to repeat in a Chelsea shirt but this times I'll have a winner's medal instead!
Career Highlight:
Carly has represented England at Under 17, Under 19, Under 21 and Under 23 level before joining the senior side. While at Leeds the goalkeeper was part of the League Cup-winning side in 2010 and FA Cup finalists in 2008.
