Under-21 striker Patrick Bamford also completed a loan move on Thursday afternoon, after joining MK Dons on loan until January 7.

Bamford, 19, who made two senior appearances for Nottingham Forest before joining Chelsea in January.

Last season the striker scored six goals in seven Chelsea reserve games, Bamford has netted three times during the current league campaign, in home defeats against both Liverpool and Middlesbrough, as well as in the away win at Manchester City.

Bamford made his debut for England Under 18s in November 2010 and since his move to Chelsea has graduated to England Under 19s.

MK Dons currently sit third in League One, with 33 points from 19 games, five points adrift of leaders Tranmere. They are next in action on Saturday afternoon when they entertain Colchester United.
