CZECH OPPOSITION IN EUROPA DRAW

The Europa League draw has paired Chelsea with Sparta Prague in the round of 32.

The away match will take place on 14 February with the second leg at Stamford Bridge on 21 February.

The two teams met in the group stage of the Champions League in 2003/04, the Blues winning 1-0 away thanks to a William Gallas goal and then drawing 0-0 at home to make the knockout stages. Petr Cech is a former Sparta Prague player.

Sparta reached this stage of the competition having finished second to Lyon in a group also featuring Athletic Bilbao and Hapoel Kiryat Shmona. Prior to that they came through qualification in which they knocked out Admira of Austria and Feyenoord.
