Chelsea will play away against Southend United or Brentford in the fourth round of the FA Cup.

The tie is to be played the weekend beginning 26 January.

Brentford are currently fourth in League One, Southend sixth in League Two.

Our most recent meeting against either side in the competition was against Southend in January 2009 under the management of Luiz Felipe Scolari. After a 1-1 draw in a third round tie at Stamford Bridge, Chelsea won the replay at Roots Hall 4-1.

We also played Southend twice in the FA Cup during our first decade, winning on both occasions. We have faced Brentford once in the competition, beating the fellow west Londoners away in a third-round tie.
