THE TWEET SPOT: DEMBA BA

Demba Ba was the latest Chelsea man to sit down and answer fans' questions sent in via Twitter this week, responding to topics varying from his toughest opponents to his favourite foods.

Asked about the Chelsea supply line of Juan Mata, Oscar and Eden Hazard (who he also rates as his best friend at the club) by @AvirupChelsea, Ba admitted he would hate to be a defender having to try and stop them.

'If I was the opponent I would be getting three red cards every game,' he joked. 'I could not tackle them!'

The Senegalese is clearly lucky he has never had to face them, though he did once come up against John Terry early on in his time in England, and admitted he could think of no tougher opponents.

'Defenders? I don't know. At Chelsea they are strong,' he said. 'JT was difficult at West Ham. Chelsea beat us 3-0 and he was very strong.'

Ba did however rate Didier Drogba as the best player he had shared a pitch with, but despite the Ivorian's departure last season sees good things ahead for the Blues. Asked by @csouradip about the future, he said: 'I think Chelsea will win a lot of titles. The team they are building has big talents.'

Ba has come a long way since being rejected by Watford and Barnsley early in his career, arriving at Stamford Bridge after impressing in both England and Germany.

'I never doubted myself. I put all my trust in God and never doubted,' he told @JamesDougieL, going on to identify a favourite away ground from his time in the Bundesliga.

'Borussia Dortmund,' he said. 'More than 80,000 people, and the stand behind the goal is massive. The Yellow Wall.'

Finally, Ba was asked about his obsession with strawberry syrup, and whether it still exists.

'Definitely!' he laughed. 'I just came back from France and if you could see what I have in my bag... I do share it with my family though!'

You can find Ba on Twitter @dembabafoot. Demba will be joining Marko Marin and Branislav Ivanovic at our Kingston store for a signing session this Thursday. They wil be in-store from 2.30-3.30pm.
