With Chelsea having arrived in Bangkok, the Thailand Official Supporters Club have produced a guide to the city for any fans visiting to see the team in action.

Here's their travel advice including tips for getting around and a recommendation of an important place to visit:

Thailand is a tourist-friendly country and one of the top countries visited worldwide. English is well-known in Bangkok and it is the land of the smile. All Thai people like to smile and are willing to help foreigners - called farang in Thai.

Thailand is a wonderful country where people, food and massage are among the best worldwide. Bangkok is an international city where you can find the ancient Royal Palace near the most modern shopping mall.

When you arrive in the airport, 15km from the city centre, you will have more than one choice for getting to your hotel - from public transportation (bus, van, airport express) to private (taxi, limousine).

Our suggestion is to book with the hotel so it will be convenient after an international flight to reach your final destination. Traffic jams in Bangkok can be amazing and you can take more than two hours to reach the hotel (depending on the driver and vehicle).

For staying in Bangkok you have plenty of choice, but we suggest Aloft Hotel in Soi 11, where we had an event with Dennis Wise and where there is a willingness to give a special rate for Chelsea supporters.

This area is also convenient because you can find all kinds of food (our best is Limoncello, an Italian restaurant) as well vibrant night life in Bed Supperclub. It is also convenient for taking the public transportation that is BTS - the skytrain.

If you want to try a ride in a TUK-TUK you will be racing in the heart of Bangkok!

You should go to the Royal Palace but be aware that some locals will tell you to avoid it because the Palace is already closed: don't listen and go on to visit. You should wear long trousers and a long-sleeve shirt out of respect for Thai culture and the King family, even if it is very hot.

To get to the Royal Palace we suggest you take BTS until Saphan Taksin and take a boat to enjoy Chao Praya River, until the pier Tha Chang.
