Patrick van Aanholt and Gael Kakuta have today (Wednesday) returned to Vitesse Arnhem on season-long loans, with Thorgan Hazard heading back to Zulte Waregem in his native Belgium.

Van Aanholt and Kakuta, both 22, have spent pre-season training with the Eredivise club, who finished fourth last season.

Having initially spent the second half of the 2011/12 season on loan at Vitesse, it was decided Van Aanholt would remain there throughout the 2012/13 campaign.

His second season with the club was another productive one, with the left-back establishing himself as a regular in the side, starting all but three league matches.

Kakuta also spent last season on loan at Vitesse, where he made 22 appearances and played a crucial role in helping the club secure Europa League qualification.

Hazard, meanwhile, will spend the 2013/14 campaign back on loan at Zulte Waregem after a string of memorable performances during his initial spell with the club last season.

The 20-year-old was an instrumental figure as his side battled for the title, narrowly losing out to Anderlecht on the final day, impressing to such an extent he earned a first senior international call-up.

In May, Hazard made his debut for Belgium in a 4-2 friendly win over USA, replacing Chelsea team-mate Romelu Lukaku during the second-half.

All three deals will run until 30 June.
