This year celebrates the 50-year anniversary of when a young Chelsea side won promotion to the First Division. It was the beginning of a bright era for the club, with players such as Bobby Tambling, Barry Bridges and Peter Bonetti shining.

To celebrate, we are holding a dinner at Stamford Bridge on Thursday 19 September in order to mark one of the most memorable achievements in the club's history.

The 1962/63 campaign will be remembered by those fortunate enough to witness it as one of the most dramatic campaigns, with the Blues recovering from a mid-season slump late on and sealing promotion on the last day courtesy of a 7-0 win over Portsmouth.

Members of the team from that Chelsea era will be at the dinner to remember the special season. So far we have confirmed attendance from Tommy Docherty, Tambling, Ron Harris, Ken Shellito, Allan Harris, Bridges, Peter Bonetti, Tommy Knox, Bert Murray and John Hollins.

This is sure to be a fantastic event celebrating Chelsea history, so make sure you do not miss out.

Tickets cost £45 and include the following:

- Drinks reception

- Two-course sit-down dinner

- Three drinks vouchers

- Entertainment

We will also be holding a raffle and silent auction on the night featuring Chelsea memorabilia. Money raised will go to the Past Players' Trust.

Tickets are available online or over the phone on 0871 984 1955
