Chelsea Ladies are delighted to announce we have signed Katie Holtham from Doncaster Rovers Belles ahead of the third FA Women's Super League.

The midfielder represented England at U17, U19, U21 and U23 level. She captained the U19s to the European Championship finals in Hungary in 2005.

Holtham has been named in the England women's senior squad on a number of occasions but has yet to her full international debut.

Chelsea's newest signing has played in two FA Women's Cup Finals, representing both Leeds and Charlton Athletic against Arsenal.

Chelsea Ladies manager Emma Hayes said: 'Katie brings a wealth of experience to the Ladies set up and will be a great asset to the squad. We're delighted she has decided to play for Chelsea LFC and now we're looking forward to pre-season training in February 2013.'

The third FA WSL season kicks off next spring but Holtham will join the Blues for pre-season training in February.
