ENGLAND THROUGH TO CYPRUS CUP FINAL
An Eniola Aluko strike helped England reach the final of the Cyprus Cup as the side came from behind to beat New Zealand.
Aluko converted a Rachel Yankey free-kick, adding to Elen White's earlier equaliser after New Zealand went ahead through an Amber Hearn opener in the seventh minute.
England's final goal came when Toni Duggan rounded goalkeeper Erin Naylor to make it 3-1 in the 90th minute. England will now face Canada in the final on Wednesday.
The Lionesses needed the victory following Friday's 4-4 draw with Scotland when Ellen White, Toni Duggan, Rachel Williams and Kelly Smith were all on target for England. Lisa Evans, Jane Ross, Kim Little and Emma Mitchell replied for Scotland in a game that ebbed and flowed from end-to-end.
In the opening game England defeated Italy 4-2 with goals from debutant Jordan Nobbs, Steph Houghton, Jess Clarke and Ellen White.
