CHELSEA LADIES LAUNCH ADIDAS CAMPAIGN
Chelsea Ladies' Olympic stars are helping to inspire women to take part in sport with club sponsor adidas in their campaign 'all in for #mygirls', which will feature in Glamour magazine's future issues.
Committed to inspiring and celebrating women in sport, adidas #mygirls online community brings women together from across the globe to share their stories and dreams, uniting those who share the same passion.
Three of Chelsea's England and Team GB players, Claire Rafferty, Dunia Susi and Eniola Aluko helped launch adidas #mygirls campaign at Westfield London Shopping centre alongside a number of Olympic heroes and world champions.
The girls were part all of an all-star cast for 'an audience with', alongside other adidas athletes from across cycling, bob sleigh, boxing, cricket and athletics as they joined Laura Trott, Jess Varnish, Becky James, Lizzie Armitstead, Shelley Rudman, Desiree Henry, Charlotte Edwards and Katie Taylor on stage to answer questions about their sporting endeavours and life in the Chelsea Ladies.
Striker Aluko was delighted to attend the event.
'Events like today show just how far women's football has come in the last few years,' she said. 'The Olympics has raised the profile of women's sports and the Super League has given women's football a real boost.
'It's great to catch up with a few old friends from London 2012 and meet some inspirational sports women, but most of all I hope we've helped inspire a few girls to get on their boots or trainers and to get out there and find a sport they love.'
The Chelsea Ladies next Super League home game is at Wheatsheaf Park, Staines Town on August 4 with a match against Doncaster Rovers Belles, kick-off 2pm.
Whether you're part of a sports team or a tribe of friends, adidas invites you to go all in and join #mygirls to become part of something bigger. Join us on www.adidas.com/mygirls or follow us on @adidaswomen.
