Sweden secured their place in the semi-finals of the Women's European Championships with a convincing 4-0 win over Iceland.

Chelsea's Sofia Jakobsson played the full 90 minutes for the hosts, who scored three times in the first half to ease through in front of a sell-out crowd.

Marie Hammarstrom opened the scoring after only three minutes, and two goals in a five-minute spell, first from Josefine Oqvist and soon after Lotta Schelin, put them in the driving seat.

Iceland had plenty to do after the break, but their task was made all the more difficult when Schelin doubled her tally just before the hour-mark to make it 4-0.

Sweden will play either Germany or Italy in the last four.
