It was a night to remember on the international stage for the Chelsea Ladies as three of our players were on target for their respective nations.

Eniola Aluko scored a brace as England followed their 6-0 win over Belarus with an 8-0 victory against Turkey at Fratton Park, making it maximum points from their opening two World Cup qualifiers.

Already leading 1-0 after just one minute, it was from Aluko's cross that Toni Duggan doubled their advantage soon after.

England went 3-0 up just before the half-hour mark, and the Chelsea striker extended their lead three minutes later when she latched on to a Duggan pass and finished smartly.

It was 6-0 to the Three Lions at the break, and four minutes into the second half Aluko doubled her own tally when she headed home, before two more goals compounded Turkey's misery.

Elsewhere, Helen Ward [pictured above] scored the only goal of the game as Wales beat Belarus 1-0 at Cardiff City Stadium.

In a tight encounter, Ward, making her 50th appearance for the national side, fired home the decisive strike 10 minutes from time. It was her 30th goal at international level.

The Blues' Laura Rafferty was also on target, scoring the opening goal of the game as Northern Ireland beat Latvia 4-1 in the qualifying round for the Under-19 European Championships, while Yuki Ogimi's Japan beat Nigeria 2-0 in a friendly.

Chelsea Ladies play their final game of the season against Lincoln at Staines Town FC this Sunday (29 September), kick-off 2pm.

Chelsea season ticket holders and members can gain entry to the match for just £1, while supporters under the age of 16 will be admitted to the game for free. Tickets are available on the day priced £5 for adults and £3 for concessions.
