Chelsea Ladies are delighted to announce the signing of Dunia Susi as the England international re-joins the side.

Susi left for pastures new before the start of the Women's Super League but has now returned to London, much to Ladies manager Matt Beard's pleasure.

'Dunia is a player I have a massive amount of respect for and when the opportunity came to sign her again we jumped at the chance,' he explained.

Susi, who has represented England on 14 occasions, was Chelsea's top scorer during the 2009/10 season before she signed for Birmingham in December 2010.

'Dunia is a regular in the England squad and gives me a lot of options as she can play full back or on the wing,' added Beard.

'We needed more experience in our squad and Dunia will bring that. Before she left us she was our top goalscorer and scoring goals was one of the issues that affected our side last season.'

A lot has changed since Susi left for Birmingham and there will be few familiar in the side now she has returned, but Beard's relishing the opportunity to see her train in Chelsea kit once again.

'We have a whole new squad apart from two or three players now, but Dunia knows what I expect of my players so from that point of view it will make her return a little easier.

'Dunia will be a great addition to the squad and I'm looking forward to getting her involved at training and ready for the new season.'
