Members of the Chelsea Foundation Lottery were treated to a free evening in the players' company at An Audience With on Thursday night.
As a thank you for their support, each year lottery members are invited to one of the club's events to enjoy behind-the-scenes access to the Blues. This week's An Audience With meant they got to ask our Spanish quartet of Fernando Torres, Juan Mata, Oriol Romeu and Cesar Azpilicueta questions.
'We were really pleased to be invited just because we're members of the Chelsea Foundation Lottery,' said staunch fan Carol Rhodes.
'Between my husband and myself there's over 100 years of Chelsea support. His dad took him when he was five and he's been supporting Chelsea ever since and I've supported them since I was eight or nine, so it really was a real treat.
'The players came across as really friendly and we were really happy to be there and had a really good time.'
The Chelsea Foundation Lottery helps raise vital funds for the Chelsea Foundation, which uses the power of football to provide programmes and induce positive changes in peoples' lives and their communities, address inequalities in society and boost health and fitness.
'The Chelsea Foundation Lottery is a really good idea,' added Carol. 'It's a really good way of supporting our communities and giving something back. It's a really good way of helping underprivileged youngsters and who knows, one day the club might unearth the next [Gianfranco] Zola!'
