Paulo Ferreira in the US

MATCH PREVIEW

The Blues play the second of two friendlies against Manchester City in America tonight, hoping to bounce back from Thursday's 4-3 defeat.

Goals from Demba Ba, Cesar Azpilicueta and Oscar gave us what appeared to be an unassailable 3-0 lead in St Louis, but City hit back with four second-half goals to run out 4-3 winners.

Attention now turns to New York, where tonight's game will be played, and Paulo Ferreira, who captained Chelsea in the latter part of the first game, is hopeful of ending our trip with a win.

'We played against a good side on Thursday,' he says. 'We scored three goals and were winning the game, but Manchester City managed to come back. We tried to do our best and win the game, but they finished stronger than us.

'That's football, though, and we have another game tonight which we want to win.'

Tickets for Thursday's game sold out in only 27 minutes, with American supporters scrambling to see their heroes in action.

Football in the US continues to go from strength to strength, and Ferreira hopes tonight's game at Yankee Stadium can match Thursday's in terms of entertainment.

'It was an end-of-season game but everybody tried their best to be professional and put on a good game for the supporters who came along to watch the game,' said the Portuguese defender.

'It's not our first time in America but it's always good to come here and it was really nice to see the stadium full.'

There are still some tickets remaining for tonight's game at Yankee Stadium.

The match will be broadcast live and FREE TO VIEW on Chelsea TV for supporters based in the UK and Ireland.
