Euro 2008 warm-up preparations begin this week for the countries involved and there has already been match action for Chelsea players at various age levels.

Andriy Shevchenko played the first 67 minutes of Ukraine's 3-0 friendly defeat in the Netherlands. Khalid Boulahrouz was a second-half sub for the Dutch.

Branislav Ivanovic was in the Serbia side that drew 1-1 with Republic of Ireland in Dublin on Saturday. He played central defence and although picking up a booking, completed the match.

In what was Giovanni Trapattoni's first match in charge of the Irish, they equalised in the 90th minute.

The elite qualifying round of the European Under 19 Championships is underway - a group stage for nations who have made it this far to determine the eight who will contest the final tournament in July.

Chelsea's Slovakia Under 19 winger Miroslav Stoch (pictured) has already been on-target. He scored in a 1-1 draw with Croatia. In their next game, Slovakia drew 2-2 with Albania.

England Under 19s begin their group campaign today (Monday) with a game against Poland in Belarus. Included in the England squad are Chelsea Academy products Ryan Bertrand, Jack Cork and Scott Sinclair.

The England senior team are in friendly action on Wednesday against the United States at Wembley. There are also midweek matches scheduled for Nigeria, Germany, Czech Republic, France and Serbia.
