Petr Cech has been named Czech Republic Player of the Year for the fifth time.

The goalkeeper received the award, which he won back from the now retired Pavel Nedved, in Prague as he prepares for tonight's European Championship qualifier against Scotland.

Having lost to Lithuania in their opening game, he knows the Czechs must bounce back with victory against Craig Levein's men.

'We are in a group which consists of only five teams and one lost game is more than enough (to knock you out),' he said.

'We took our toll already in the opener so we can't afford to drop more points. If I should speak for myself, I am used to such pressure from Chelsea. If you draw a game, it's bad, and only wins count. In most cases this motivates you in the right way.'
