The FA have today [3 June] confirmed that Gary Cahill will miss the European Championships after suffering two fractures of his jaw, one on either side.

Cahill started England's friendly win against Belgium at Wembley yesterday but was replaced by Joleon Lescott during the first half after colliding with goalkeeper Joe Hart [pictured above], making him the second Chelsea player to be ruled out of the tournament through injury, following Frank Lampard's withdrawal in midweek.

He will be replaced by Liverpool's Martin Kelly, subject to agreement from UEFA's medical team.

John Terry, meanwhile, underwent scans this morning before being given the all clear after picking up a hamstring injury in the closing stages of the game. He will be re-assessed on Tuesday when the team regroup
