David Luiz has been called up into an intial squad of 35 players named by Brazil for the London Olympics. He is one of the players over the age of 23.

The squad is due to be cut down to 18 who will join up on 9 July for training, before they fly to England to take on Great Britain in a pre-tournament warm-up game at Middlesbrough's Riverside Stadium on 20 July.

The Olympic football competition is scheduled to run from 26 July until 11 August, with the new Barclays Premier League campaign starting a week later.
