Jeffrey Bruma was part of the Netherlands Under-21 side that on Monday evening duly completed their progression to the European Championship Finals.

The young Dutch side were already 2-0 up after the away leg of a play-off against Slovakia and they repeated that result in the home match, both goals coming in the second half.

The Finals will take place in June in Israel and it is the first time the Netherlands have qualified since 2007 when they were winners for a second year running.

Twenty-year-old defender Bruma is currently on loan at Hamburg where he has played four games in the Bundesliga this season.

Tomorrow (Tuesday), Josh McEachran and England Under-21s, plus Oriol Romeu and Spain Under-21s will be attempting to join the Dutch in the Finals. Both sides lead after their first legs.

Thorgan Hazard and Lamisha Musonda have both been involved in friendlies for Belgium Under-21s. They played 90 minutes in a match on Friday against Greece which ended in a 3-1 defeat. On Sunday versus Israel they lost 4-1. Hazard was a half-time sub, Musonda played 59 minutes.
