John Swift (pictured) captained England Under-18s to victory over Italy in Mansfield on Wednesday night, with his Chelsea Academy team-mate Alistair Gordon a second-half substitute.
The friendly game, used to bridge the gap between Under-17 and Under-19 competitive games saw England run out 2-0 winners thanks to goals in either half from Everton's Chris Long and Manchester City's Devante Cole.
Swift played in central midfield and put in a typically tidy shift, while Gordon entered the action in the 53rd minute at left-back.
