TWO CHANCES TO MEET FORMER BLUES

Posted on: Tue 20 Nov 2012

Over the next couple of months there are two separate occasions on which supporters can come along to Stamford Bridge and meet former players of the club.

This Sunday, ahead of the Manchester City game, fans will have the opportunity to meet both John Dempsey and Dave Beasant, who will be appearing in the Museum between 12.30-3pm, with tickets priced at £10.

Dempsey was part of the successful team of the early 1970s which won trophies both domestically and abroad.

In 1970 he featured in both games as the Blues overcame Leeds United following a replay to lift the FA Cup, while the following season, after an initial 1-1 draw, Dempsey scored one of our goals in the replay as we beat Real Madrid 2-1 to lift the European Cup Winners' Cup.

Beasant, meanwhile, after signing for the Blues in 1989, made over 100 appearances for the club, and was our goalkeeper during the 1989/90 Zenith Data Systems Cup final when we beat Middlesbrough 1-0 at Wembley to secure the trophy.

On Sunday 13 January, meanwhile, supporters are encouraged to come along to a Legends Tour, hosted by former Stamford Bridge favourite Kerry Dixon, a player who netted 193 times for the club over a nine-year spell, with tickets priced at £50.

The tour includes a visit to the home and away dressing rooms, a chance to see where all the legends and current squad have signed for the club and the unforgettable opportunity to walk down the players' tunnel to the Chelsea FC dug-outs.

You will also receive entry to the Club Museum, where you will receive a complimentary audio guide to enhance your Museum experience, and you will be given a Chelsea FC guidebook to take home as a memento of your fantastic day!

Tickets for these events are available online, or over the telephone on 0871 984 1955.
