MATCHDAY TRAVEL NEWS: DISTRICT LINE DISRUPTION

Posted on: Fri 18 Jan 2013

Supporters heading to Sunday's Barclays Premier League game against Arsenal may find the following information useful.

For those fans using the London Underground, please be advised that on the District Line there is no service between West Kensington, Acton Town and Richmond. A rail replacement bus service will be in operation.

There is also a disruption to services between Hammersmith and Acton Town/Ealing, and between Rayners Lane and Uxbridge on the Piccadilly Line.

On the Northern Line, meanwhile, services are suspended between Camden Town, High Barnet and Mill Hill East, although again, there will be a bus replacement service.

There will be no service between Stanmore and West Hampstead on the Jubilee Line, or between Harrow-on-the-Hill and Aldgate on the Metropolitan Line. Rail replacement buses, however, will be in operation.

The Waterloo & City Line, meanwhile, does not operate on Sundays.

On the DLR, there will be no service between Bow Church and Stratford, with a rail replacement bus service in operation.

For those supporters using the Overground, please be advised that there is no service between Willesden Junction and Richmond, or between Surrey Quays and Clapham Junction. Valid tickets, however, will be accepted on the rail replacements going in both directions.

There is a good service predicted on all other lines, although we strongly advise you to check your route prior to departure through Transport for London.

Supporters travelling to the game by car will be pleased to know that there are no planned roadworks in and around the area of the stadium.

However, please be aware that there are extensive road closures in and around the Vauxhall area following an accident earlier this week.

Once again, you are advised to check your route prior to departure through either the AA or RAC.

If you are travelling to the game by car, please remember Chelsea's Liftshare Scheme, which allows those Blues with room in their vehicle to give a lift to fellow supporters.
