Rafael Benitez makes three changes to the side which beat Wigan Athletic 4-1 last weekend.

Ryan Bertrand replaces Ashley Cole at left-back, while with David Luiz missing the game through suspension, Ramires reverts back into a deep-lying midfield role alongside captain Frank Lampard.

Marko Marin, who scored his first goal for the club against Roberto Martinez's side, starts on the right of the atacking trio tucked in behind Fernando Torres, while Juan Mata, who came off the bench at the weekend, also starts.

John Terry, Cole and Oscar are all named as substitutes, while Demba Ba is cup-tied.

Chelsea are expected to line up in the following 4-2-3-1 formation:
