REACTION: FAIR RESULT
Moses displayed fantastic technique to put us 2-0 up midway through the first half with a well-taken strike, and while the Russian side hit back just before the break from the penalty spot, Torres restored our two-goal cushion late in the game, heading home from a Juan Mata cross.
'He's a great player and he showed great character, scored two quality goals and worked very hard,' said the Blues winger. 'Everyone is behind him, he's a natural goalscorer.
'He's been working hard in training and scoring regularly, he scored two here and that will help bring his confidence back, he's a good player and I'm happy for him.'
The 22-year-old was equally delighted with his own goal - his seventh of the season - and felt we ran out worthy winners in the end.
'It was a nice goal,' explained Moses. 'I showed quick feet to strike the ball into the back of the net and I was delighted with it.
'It wasn't an easy game but I think 3-1 was a fair result and now we can look forward to the second leg.
'The most important thing is to win games, we've got quality players and hopefully we'll be good enough to win the competition.'
'It was a bit of a blow to concede the away goal,' he said. 'I thought it was a harsh penalty, he's got his arms tucked in'.
The young left-back, deputising for the injured Ashley Cole, impressed throughout, catching the eye with one solo run in particular which saw him beat three defenders before his cross was hooked to safety.
Bertrand completed the full 90 minutes last night, as well as against Southampton last Saturday, while also playing the majority of Monday's FA Cup win against Manchester United following Cole's withdrawal.
With so many games to play, though, he is simply looking forward to finishing the season on a high.
'It's been a bit busy and it will get even busier, but at this level players are used to having a jam-packed fixture list,' explained the 23-year-old.
'Nobody likes to see anybody get injured but for me personally it's a chance to get a few more games under my belt.
'It was a good performance from the lads and hopefully we can take that into next week's game.
'It's been a funny season but we're on the verge of doing quite well, so hopefully we can stay fit, stay positive, keep winning, and the rest should take care of itself.'
