Josh McEachran and Nathaniel Chalobah have been named in the England Under-21 squad for next month's European Championships.

The Chelsea duo, who have spent the season on loan in the Championship, were named in Stuart Pearce's 23-man squad ahead of the competition, which will be held in Israel.

McEachran has played regularly for Middlesbrough over the course of the campaign, while Chalobah, who has impressed under the guidance of Gianfranco Zola at Watford, will hope to feature when the Hornets take on Crystal Palace in the Championship play-off final later this month.

McEachran scored his first goal at Under-21 level with a penalty in the 4-0 win over Austria in March.

Chalobah, who was named England's Men's Youth Player of the Year at an FA awards ceremony earlier this year, was handed his Under-21 debut by Pearce against Northern Ireland last November.

Meanwhile, Patrick van Aanholt and Jeffrey Bruma were both named in the preliminary Netherlands squad which was named last week ahead of the competition.
