HELP FOR HEROES TOP THE FINAL FANS POLL

Posted on: Fri 17 May 2013

Help for Heroes has won the Chelsea fans vote in the final poll of the season and will be collecting outside Stamford Bridge on the 19 May as Chelsea take on Everton.

The Charity faced stiff competition from a number of other military organisations including the Heroes Children Fund, Headley Court and Special Effect.

Help for Heroes raises money to support members of the Armed Forces who have suffered life-changing injuries and illnesses in the service of their country. This is provided through grants to individuals, other service charities, capital build projects and their four Recovery Centres across the UK.

Bryn Parry, CEO and co-founder of Help for Heroes said; 'The money raised by the hugely generous public has been used to support our wounded, but there is still so much more to do. Soldiers, sailors and airmen who are injured today will still need our support tomorrow and in the days that follow, for the rest of their lives. They are still battling and we won't let them battle alone. Thank you to all the Chelsea fans for their support - it truly makes a difference to the lives of our heroes.'
