Chelsea and our Formula 1 partner Sauber will be offering a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to children in Singapore later this month, bringing a cross-sport experience to 48 local children

On the day, the youngsters from the Henderson Secondary School, aged 11-13, will take part in a soccer clinic and have the chance to build and race a balsa wood model car, competing to win an incredible behind-the-scenes Sauber garage tour ahead of the Singapore Grand Prix, with points awarded for their football skills and how their wooden car performs in a race.

Following on from a successful event in Malaysia, where as part of the 'F1 in Schools' initiative, Sauber driver Esteban Gutierrez gave members of Chelsea's Soccer School a unique insight into life as a professional racing driver, the F1 star will be on hand again to inspire kids in Singapore with his race and life experiences.

The majority of the kids involved will be exposed to professional football coaching and an introduction to F1 for the very first time, after the invitation was extended to local schools and charities. Other attendees will include children from our existing soccer school and from the F1 in Schools programme, allowing them to share their experiences with new friends in their respective sports.
