Willian makes his debut and Marco van Ginkel starts the first Chelsea game and first Champions League game of his career, alongside the experience of Frank Lampard in midfield.

Oscar and Eden Hazard complete the attacking midfield playing behind Samuel Eto'o.

Gary Cahill will partner David Luiz in central defence so Lampard is captain.

Basel drop former Liverpool defender Philipp Degen with Behrang Safari coming in to their defence.
