Petr Cech will make his 300th Premier League appearance tomorrow when Chelsea host Cardiff City and Jose Mourinho has been speaking about his current crop of goalkeepers.

It was Mourinho who gave Cech his league debut in what was the manager's first match in England too, and he readily recalls the day back in 2004.

'He came here for a season when the season before, Carlo Cudicini was playing very well,' he said.

'Petr came here very young but immediately in the first game of the season, Chelsea v Man United, he kept a clean sheet, the first clean sheet of his book full of clean sheets.

'The guy is amazing, with his working ethic and the way he lives, and he is a very young keeper, 30 years old is very young.'

Mourinho describes having Cech and Thibaut Courtois, currently in his third season on loan at Atletico Madrid and yet to make his Chelsea debut, as a good situation to have.

'I don't think many people will disagree if I say we have the best goalkeeper in the world and the best young goalkeeper in the world, and if anyone wants to disagree with me it will not be by much.

'We don't have a problem, the teams with a problem are the teams without goalkeepers. And we have other guys, Mark Schwarzer and Jamal Blackman, giving us the security we need to allow Courtois to be on loan. They are good.

'Jamal cannot be selected tomorrow so this week we work with Mitchell Beeney who is also a kid with very good potential, so we are fine.'
