Eden Hazard believes the team are in the best shape possible ahead of Sunday's clash with fellow title challengers Manchester City. The Blues have won six of our last seven in all competitions - drawing the other - since losing at home to Basel last month. Our visitors are also in fine form, though, having recorded impressive away wins this week against West Ham and CSKA Moscow, making Sunday's contest an intriguing one.

'We're in a very good moment,' Hazard said. 'We are in form, we've beaten Norwich, Cardiff and Schalke recently, and there's a good dynamic in the team. It's great for your confidence.

'It's an important period for us because we have some big matches coming up. We want to keep winning to maintain our high position in the league table and I hope we can continue to play like this because we have a very important match this weekend.'

The availability of Vincent Kompany for Sunday's game will be of particular interest to Hazard who is well aware of the Man City skipper's ability and points out our opponents do better when Kompany is playing than when he is not, adding: 'His importance to the team is proven. I have seen his qualities when we've been with Belgium together, so I prefer to play with players like him than against players like him.'

Hazard has been in fine form himself, netting four goals in his last three games for Chelsea, and there is no doubt the winger is enjoying life under his new manager.

'Jose has brought his experience. He is a coach who helps us players. He impresses me with how much he knows. It's not bad the amount of things that he has won before!' Hazard joked.

'At the moment it's going well. I hope he will keep on winning and we can win together, as a group. All the managers I have worked under have wanted me to have a decisive role in the team, to score goals and to make assists. I try to follow the game plan and do my job on the pitch.'
