REGISTER YOUR CHARITY FOR MATCHDAY COLLECTIONS POLL
Chelsea Football Club is inviting children's, medical and local-based charities to register for the chance to hold bucket collections at Stamford Bridge during the 2013/14 season.
The closing date for charities to apply is Friday 29 November, and thereafter Chelsea FC will ask fans to choose which charities they would like to see fundraising at Stamford Bridge during the season.
For over a decade our west London home has provided opportunities for charities to hold collections outside the ground, and for the second season in succession online polls will decide which have the opportunity to fundraise before games.
The three chosen charities will alternate with the club's charity partner Right To Play and other longstanding charities such as the Royal British Legion.
The polls will take place on this website and through the club's official social media channels. There are three matchdays available to charities, with the first coming next month when Crystal Palace visit Stamford Bridge.
Last season charities including the Cystic Fibrosis Trust, Children's Liver Disease Foundation and the Brompton Foundation were selected by supporters.
'Chelsea fans have a strong history of generosity when it comes to helping others and it's something we're very proud of as a club,' said Chairman Bruce Buck.
'With such a great record of helping charities, we think it's only fair to give our fans the opportunity to vote where they'd like to see their hard-earned money go. Last season over 50,000 fans took part in the voting, raising thousands of pounds and we are confident the initiative will prove a huge success once again.'
The available matches will take place in December, January and March. Once charities have applied for the chance to collect at Stamford Bridge, the Chelsea FC Foundation will hold the fans' vote. This will allow promotion of all the charities taking part in the fans' vote through the club's Facebook page (19 million fans), Twitter account ( three million followers) and Google+ (4.2 million followers).
Register your charity for the fans' vote by emailing email@example.com with the subject line 'Matchday Collection Vote' and attach a copy ofthe application form which can be download here.
