CHELSEA FC SOCCER SCHOOL OPENS IN INDONESIA
Chelsea Football Club is delighted to announce our Soccer School in Indonesia will open its doors this weekend.
Based in Jakarta and operated by PT Starcom Sports Management, the Soccer School will stage its first official coaching sessions on 25 January. These sessions, for children aged between six and 17, will be led by local coaches who have been fully trained by Chelsea FC and who will be supported by coaches from the Chelsea FC Foundation in London.
The Soccer School is part of Chelsea's Here to Play, Here to Stay initiative which provides a long-term commitment to local communities and uses the power of sport to educate and inspire children.
Coaching sessions at Chelsea FC Soccer School Indonesia will take place at Lapangan F, Senayan Sports Complex in Central Jakarta.
Chelsea Chief Executive Ron Gourlay said: 'We are very pleased to launch the Chelsea FC Soccer School Indonesia, our 10th Soccer School in Asia. It is the club's intention to help children and communities across Asia enjoy the wonderful sport of football and the Chelsea FC Soccer Schools are a tangible demonstration of our commitment towards achieving that goal.
'We received a fantastic reception last summer in Indonesia, and to play in front of 80,000 supporters there was an incredible experience for our players. We're pleased to be able to return that support to the local community in Jakarta.'
The Chelsea FC Soccer School Indonesia will provide high-quality training in a fun and safe environment and is the perfect way for young people to learn to play the Chelsea way.
Chelsea already has the largest Foundation in the Premier League and we are using this huge wealth of knowledge and experience to develop community-focused programmes all around Asia.
