MATCHDAY TRAVEL NEWS
Supporters heading to Stamford Bridge for tomorrow's game with Newcastle United may find the following information useful.
On National Rail, engineering work is taking place between New Malden and Twickenham, closing the line. Buses replace trains between New Malden and Shepperton/Twickenham, and also between Kingston and Twickenham.
Some trains are diverted to start and terminate at Hampton Court.
Also on the South West Trains network, engineering work is taking place between Leatherhead and Effingham Junction, closing all lines, so replacement buses will be provided.
Trains between London Waterloo and Guildford - via Leatherhead - will be diverted to run between London Waterloo and Dorking.
Journey times will be extended by at least 30 minutes.
We strongly recommend you use the National Rail journey planner to check your route prior to departure.
Those fans using the London Underground should be aware there is no service on the Northern Line between Kennington and Morden, while the Piccadilly line is shut between South Harrow and Uxbridge.
Meanwhile, on the Metropolitan line, there is no service between Harrow-on-the-Hill and Uxbridge.
There is a good service predicted on all other lines, although we advise you to check your route prior to departure through Transport for London.
Supporters travelling to the game by car, please note that Hammersmith Bridge is closed all day on Saturday, which is likely to increase the volume of traffic on surrounding areas, including Putney Bridge.
If you are travelling to the match by car, please remember Chelsea's Liftshare Scheme, which allows those supporters with room in their vehicle to give a fellow Blue a lift to the game.
