LOTTERY WINNERS' WINTER WARMER
Life-long Chelsea fan Jan Duckmanton enjoyed a tour of Stamford Bridge as she collected a cheque for £750 as one of the latest winners of the Chelsea Foundation Lottery.
The 58-year-old, who attended her first game at Stamford Bridge way back in 1973, was joined by husband Clive having won the Winter Warmer prize.
Jan, who hails from St Albans but currently lives in Dunstable, has osteoporosis but gets to the Bridge as often as possible with tickets already secured for our home game with Tottenham Hotspur on 8 March.
Following her surprise tour and upon receiving her prize, Jan said: 'I joined the Chelsea Foundation Lottery because I was so impressed with the work they do, not just in England but around the world, to help underprivileged children, so I wanted to give something back.
'It was never about winning the money but rather supporting the good work they do in the community regardless of what someone's race, religion or background is.
'However, the money is a nice bonus and I'm taking Clive out for a nice meal and maybe we can find a few extra special things to treat ourselves to!'
Jan and Clive came to our 3-0 home victory against FC Schalke in November and revealed that had been like winning the lottery having not witnessed Champions League football before.
And having enjoyed a behind-the-scenes tour of the ground, Jan can't wait to return to the Bridge next month.
'I'm looking forward to the game against Spurs, it's always a big game,' she added.
'We came to the FC Schalke game, which was amazing as we'd never seen a Champions League game before.
'Despite what Jose says I definitely think we are contenders to win the league!'
Launched in May 2011, the Lottery is dedicated to raising money for the Chelsea Foundation.
All funds raised go towards our award-winning community and charity programmes, while giving our fans a closer link to the club and the chance to win some amazing cash prizes and exclusive Chelsea Football Club experiences like Jan's.
