Ramires returns to the midfield and will play alongside Nemanja Matic with Frank Lampard making way. That is the one change from the side that began the weekend win over Newcastle.

Samuel Eto'o starts at centre-forward for the sixth consecutive game. Fit-again Fernando Torres is back on the bench. Petr Cech is the captain.

West Brom make four changes from their defeat at Crystal Palace. Steven Reid comes in at right-back with Morgan Amalfitano and Saido Berahino added to the midfield and Thievy Bifouma replacing Victor Anichebe up front.

Chelsea are expected to line up in the following 4-2-3-1 formation:
