John Terry has been fined and reprimanded by the Football Association after a hearing into comments about referee Graham Poll.

An FA statement on the proceedings reads:

At a Disciplinary Commission hearing today, Chelsea's John Terry was fined £10,000 and reprimanded.

John Terry was charged with improper conduct in relation to comments made about referee Graham Poll following Chelsea's match at Tottenham Hotspur on 5 November. Yesterday he withdrew his request for a personal hearing and admitted the charge. The case was therefore dealt with by the Commission on the basis of written submissions.

In reaching their decision, the Commission stated that "whilst noting the late admission to the Charge, and the excellent previous disciplinary record of John Terry, [we] were extremely disappointed that the integrity of Referee Graham Poll had been called into question, and that no public apology had been forthcoming for his admitted improper conduct.
