NEWSFLASH: TERRY READY FOR CHARLTON
Immediately after Wednesday's Blackburn game, José Mourinho declared himself undecided if John Terry could return this weekend. One more training session has made up his mind.
The Chelsea captain is at the end of his recovery from a calf problem, related to an initial back injury that needed surgery in late December. He will be in the squad to face Charlton.
'John Terry will return this weekend,' Mourinho announced on Thursday afternoon. The manager was speaking as he welcomed the Chinese Olympic football team to Cobham to begin a two-week visit.
'We have missed him,' he added. 'He has been out for a long time and it is important he is back, especially when we are in a period when we keep losing players.
'It is important if we lose one, we get some back.'
Mourinho was unable to give any further update on the knee injury suffered by Ashley Cole against Blackburn. The player was undergoing scans as Mourinho was speaking.
