JOSE: NO DRAMA OVER TERRY DEAL
José Mourinho has reacted to newspaper stories over John Terry's contract negotiations with a simple sentiment - what's the hurry?
The Chelsea captain watched the cup match against Spurs from the stands, accompanied by his predecessor as England skipper, David Beckham.
Asked after Sunday's game for an update on the player's contract situation, Mourinho said:
'John Terry has a long-term contract. His contract is until 2009 - it's like mine.
'He has a long-term contract so why are you speaking about that? He's a Chelsea player until 2009 minimum so… no problem.
'It's better if he has a contract until 2015. It's better for him, better for Chelsea.
'But if he has a contract until 2009 and they take one more month, or two more months or three more months to sign a new one, I don't see a drama in it.'
