Cesar Azpilicueta FC

Chelsea’s Mr Reliable was recently asked to pick out his favourite team-mates to join a five-a-side team.

‘Dave’ went slightly unorthodox, but then he might just be following his manager’s orders following Jose Mourinho’s recent comments that Chelsea would be ‘phenomenal’ if football was played with two goalkeepers…

‘Wow, I don't know who to pick. Firstly, I apologise to any of my old team-mates if I missed you out, but it was so hard just picking five,’ said the Spain international.

‘I've played with some great goalkeepers. I don't know, there are too many to choose from!

‘Can I pick two goalkeepers? Well, it is my team! I'm going for Petr and Thibaut.’

‘I'm not going to pick myself, so the defender in my side is going to be Nacho Monreal from Arsenal. He is my good friend, we know each other from Osasuna and he is a good competitor.’

‘My first attacking player is Eden Hazard. It's for obvious reasons.’

‘My striker will be Diego Costa. I know he's going to compete, be strong. I think we are going to have a good team with these players.’

So there we have it.

It may be unconventional, but it is unlikely Azpilicueta's team will be conceding many goals, while with the combined attacking instincts of Hazard and Diego Costa, you would back them to score plenty despite the disadvantage of a man less in the outfield.

How do you think Azpilicueta's team compares to the one chosen by Courtois?
