William Hill's Brighton preview

The Boxing Day fixture between Chelsea and Brighton will be the first ever top-flight meeting between these sides – Brighton will be Chelsea’s 60th different opponent in the top tier of English football. The Blues are unbeaten in their last 12 Premier League games played on Boxing Day (W7 D5), since a 2-4 loss at Charlton in 2003.

Indeed, Chelsea have won all four of their previous league games against Brighton, though this will be the first such meeting since March 1989 in the second tier. Conte’s men start the game as hot favourites with William Hill at 1/5.

Brighton have failed to score in the last three of their four league games against the Blues, which includes both matches at Stamford Bridge. Chelsea to win to nil is priced at 8/13.

Meanwhile, Brighton haven’t won any of their last eight league games on 26 December (D3 L5), since beating QPR in the Championship in 2005. It’s 16/1 for a Brighton win or 5/1 for the draw.

Both teams have scored in six of Chelsea’s last nine at Stamford Bridge. If you think Chelsea will win and both teams will score again it’s 5/2 with William Hill
