William Hill's Tottenham preview

Chelsea will be looking to get their 2017/18 campaign up and running at Wembley having suffered defeat at home to Burnley last weekend.

Spurs began with a 2-0 win at newly promoted Newcastle but will face a tougher test from the champions at their temporary home.

Indeed Chelsea have actually played at the national stadium more recently than Spurs, in the drawn Community Shield fixture against Arsenal two weeks ago.

Both teams will be below full strength with the Blues missing the suspended Gary Cahill and Cesc Fabregas, but it promises to be an entertaining London derby.

It looks very close indeed and the betting suggests it will be a close game. Chelsea, with a 59 per cent win record at the new Wembley, are valued at 13/5 to record an away win and pick up a first three points of the Premier League campaign. Spurs are 21/20 with the draw 12/5.

Alvaro Morata had an impressive debut with an assist and a goal, and he is rated at 6/1 to be the first goalscorer, and 11/1 to net a brace. His anytime price of 19/10 looks like a genuinely decent bet. The Spaniard is 8/1 to win the Premier League golden boot.

Our experts at William Hill are expecting a close encounter and like the look of a 1-0 Chelsea win at 9/2 – but what do you think?
