Filipe Luis back in Brazil squad
News Wed 20 Aug 2014
Filipe Luis is one of four Chelsea players named in Dunga’s first Brazil squad since returning as manager.
The left-back is back in the Selecao set-up for the first time since the 2013 Confederations Cup, though he did not feature in that tournament. His last appearance for his national team was on 2 June 2013, in a 2-2 draw with England (pictured top).
Filipe Luis made his debut for Brazil in 2009. He has four international caps in total.
The 29-year-old is joined by compatriots Oscar, Ramires and Willian in the 22-man squad for games against Colombia and Ecuador in the United States early next month.
Dunga is back in charge of Brazil having first managed them between 2006 and 2010. He follows Luiz Felipe Scolari, who left the post after this summer’s World Cup. The new manager has called up just 10 players from the 23 selected in Scolari's World Cup squad.
